It looks like Smallville's about to take another, potentially lethal, hit.

Just a week after it was announced that Michael Rosenbaum would not be returning full time as Lex next season, sources confirm to me exclusively that Allison Mack, arguably Smallville's most popular heroine, may be the next to go.

This marks quite a turnaround from a few months ago, when I deemed Mack a lock to come back next season. And I wasn't the only one. Although a deal wasn't signed at the time, Smallville insiders tell me that all indications were that the actress was on board for Season 8.

But then Rosenbaum terndered his resignation and everything fell apart.

"Allison's camp used Michael leaving as leverage in the negotiations with [Warner Bros.]," says one Smallville source, who adds that Kristin Kreuk's decision to only return for a handful of episodes as Lana only strengthened Mack's bargaining position. "They need Chloe now more than ever — and Allison's people know it." (Mack's reps declined to comment for this story.)

But will the studio suits budge? In this climate, with ratings down by double digits and belt-tightening going on everywhere, no one is optimistic. However, everyone pretty much agrees about one thing: Smallville can't afford to lose Mack right now. "If Allison leaves, they've essentially got Lois and Clark left," notes one insider. "And that show's been done before."

So, what do you think? Should Warner Bros. man up and give Mack what she's probably been worth all along? Or are you OK with Smallville turning into Lois & Clark: The Early Years? Sound off below!

Anche Allison rischia di non esserci nella prossima stagione

Da K-Site novità sulla season 8:

SPOILER (click to view)
CITAZIONEDetails On Smallville's Two New Season 8 Characters!
Casting breakdowns have gone out for the two new characters of Smallville Season 8.

Here's what they are looking for. Could "Davis Bloome" be an alter ego for "Doomsday" and "Tess" be short for "Tessmacher?" Watch and see...

DAVIS BLOOME: 26, Charming and handsome. Davis is the new bartender at
the hip Metropolis lounge. Ace of Clubs, where he plays down his smoldering good looks with a self-effacing wit and down-to-earth soulfulness. Despite the ease with which Davis relates to his new
friends, he carries with him the long-felt feelings of a perpetual outsider. Beneath Davis' charismatic, easy going demeanor lies a brooding sense of isolation and insecurity. When he begins to delve into the haunting mysteries of his true origins, a darker truth begins to emerge, one of blood and serial murders, one of survival and utter destruction--one in which he is forced to confront the true evil inside of him...SERIES REGULAR.

TESS: 28, Drop Dead Gorgeous. Determined. Sexy. Vengeful. And with
amped physical strength. While Lex is away, she is in control of his estate and rules it with aggression. She's had intellect and the confidence all her life, though it's obvious she's had some training from Lex, as well. But as much as Lex has helped fortify her power, he is also her biggest weakness. She harbors an undying devotion to Lex,
claiming he saved her life a few years ago. She carries out his wishes with coercion, force, seduction and anything to get what she wants. And no one can resist her beguiling ways. Even Clark Kent. She doesn't remember anything before the day she met Lex. Once she realizes her previous life is buried below the surface, she's desperate to dig it
up...SERIES REGULAR.

Buahahahhha!! :ridere: :ridere: :ridere:

:applausi: :applausi:

Smallville Is Officially On The CW 2008-2009 Schedule

The CW has released their schedule for next season, and the cast list for Smallville season 8 might be missing a person or three. Interestingly, Kristin Kreuk is on the cast list.

Here's the Smallville write-up:

Returning for its eighth season, this new interpretation of the enduring Superman mythology and its classic characters blends realism and adventure into an exciting action series. Last season, Clark Kent and Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) became the sworn enemies that comic book aficionados have always known and loved. The season also brought storylines of Krypton and the El family, including the arrival of Clark's cousin Kara, a.k.a. Supergirl (Laura Vandervoort), and the return of Brainiac (James Marsters).

There were also exciting guest stars from the Superman mythology, including Dean Cain ("Lois & Clark") and Helen Slater ("Supergirl"). Clark discovered more about his home planet, who his parents were, what his future holds and why he was sent to Earth. The series stars Tom Welling as Clark Kent, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, Erica Durance as Lois Lane and Aaron Ashmore as Jimmy Olsen. Reinterpreting the Superman mythology from its roots, SMALLVILLE was developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar ("Shanghai Noon," "Spiderman 2"), based on the DC Comics characters. The executive producers are Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson, Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer, James Marshall, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola. The series is produced by Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

Si, certo che ci sarà Kristin.
Ha accettato di girare 3-4 episodi (probabilmente per uscire di scena), mentre continua il suo progetto di GirlsByDesign...chissà se la faranno sposare con Pete come nei fumetti!! :ihih:

The CW Passes On Justin Hartley's New Pilot; Smallville Return Imminent?
Since the CW passed on Justin Hartley's new series pilot Austin Golden Hour, TV Guide's Michael Ausiello (him again!) is reporting that producers are keen to bring him back to Smallville ASAP, especially in light of the show losing some of its key players.

More Oliver would always be a good thing, but even better would be to give him his own series already. Sure, Dawn Ostroff wants the network to be aimed at "12-34 year old women" - her words, not ours - but tell me this... what 12-34 year old woman does not think Justin Hartley is hot? I rest my case. The male viewers who want to see some Green Arrow action (and some Black Canary) would be an added bonus.
