Almeno per qualche episodio Kristin c'è e forse anche Michael meno male per Allison ero sicuro che firmasse per un'altra stagione che secondo me sarà l'ultima, l'unica cosa che non capisco è che è impossibile che Gough e Millar dicono che non ci sarà mai un Clois perchè senza Lana secondo me è inevitabile che in qualche modo possa succedere sennò che si inventano

Tom Welling (Clark) è già sotto contratto per l’8 serie.
Il contratto di Michael Rosenbaum (Lex), Allison Mack (Chloe), e Kristin Kreuk (Lana) concluderà alla fine della settima serie. Ad ogni modo, Kristin apparirà nell’ultima parte dell’ottava stagione. Sono in corso le negoziazioni sia per Michael e Allison per un accordo per vederli apparire nella stagione successiva.
Micheal Rosenbaum ha detto già in altre molte interviste che la settima stagione sarà l’ultima per lui; ad ogni modo in una recente intervista risalente a marzo 2008 ha aggiunto che egli sta parlando con la casa produttrice, e con un giusto accordo, egli potrebbe ritornare. Come Lex Luthor egli interpreterà di più la parte del fumetto, noi speriamo che questo accada.
Erica Durance (Lois), Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy), Laura Vandervoort (Kara), e John Glover (Lionel) sono già sotto contratto per l’ottava stagione.
Come già detto inoltre James Marsters (Brainiac) ha espresso interesse a ritornare per l’ottava stagione di Smallvile. Egli apparirà negli ultimi tre episodi che non sono ancora andati in onda, a cominciare dal 27 marzo in "Veritas".

Secondo le mie talpe (ma senza conferme da parte di Gough), nel migliore dei casi, Rosenbaum dovrebbe esserci per 18 episodi. In un secondo caso egli potrebbe essere in 11. Nel peggiore dei casi invece potrebbe anche non esserci.

Kristin Kreuk Addresses Her Smallville Future
Kristin Kreuk (Lana) addressed her fans via her online Facebook profile regarding her future on the show, from the rest of Season 7 to beyond. Here's what she had to say:

Hey Team...

So, I thought I would give those of you curious about Smallville a brief debrief. I am in Bangkok for a few more months. So, no shooting of the Ville for me. I will return for a undetermined, although small, number of episodes in season 8.

I am not really opening up the floor for lots of discussion, because it is not really the place for it. Obviously I have loved my time on the show, but I am equally as thrilled to move on to new endeavors. One of which is very dear to me, and that is GBD [Girls By Design]. So thank you all for your really fabulous support and passion!!! I hope this clears up most of the questions...

"Braniac (James Marsters) returned to battle Clark (Tom Welling). Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) discovered the truth behind Veritas, the group obsessed with Clark that Lex's dad, Lionel (John glover), helped create.

What's next
"For Lex, the secret of Veritas leads him in a dangerous direction that's goin to ultimately put Clark and Lex right in each other's crosshairs," exectutive producer Al Gough says. Lex has Chloe (Allison Mack) fired from the Daily Planet, which only steps up her crusade to expose his crimes.

Death watch
in the April 24 episode, "there's a major power struggle, and one character finally meets their demise," Gough says. And unlike Lana's "death" last season, this one will be for real.
